Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include increased circulation, relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
*All services include photobiomodulation.
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage therapy. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - "shi" (finger) and "atsu" (pressure). In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body, gentle stretching techniques are applied over a wider area of the body to integrate the point work and encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body. Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind and spirit.
Utilizing photobiomodulation during your session synergistically improves the outcomes of all treatments.
Prenatal massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, pregnancy massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation. These are the only sessions we do not also utilize Photobiomodulation.
This technique uses tension on a muscle while the client actively or passively puts the muscle through the full range of motion. This forces adhesions in between muscles or muscle fibers to break up, leaving the muscle better able to perform at optimum functioning capacity. This form of massage is done on the table with the client wearing comfortable (not bulky) clothing.
Photobiomodulation expedites the healing process and is included with these sessions.
Photobiomodulation is compressed light of wavelength from the red part of the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. These properties allow laser light to penetrate the surface of the skin with no heating effect, no damage to the skin and no know side effects. Rather laser light directs biostimulative light energy to the body's cells which then convert into chemical energy (ATP) to promote natural healing and pain relief. When light waves penetrate deeply into the skin, they optimize the immune responses of our blood. This has both an anti-inflammatory and immune system stimulating effects. It is a scientific fact that light transmitted to the blood in this way has a positive effect throughout the whole body, supplying vital oxygen and energy to every cell.
In other words: Photobiomodulation matches the frequency of the cells we want to "speak to". (When any frequency is weakening or dying the only way to strengthen it is to match it.) By matching the frequency, it amplifies the signal those cells are sending to the body, allowing the message to be "heard" more clearly allowing the body to heal itself more proficiently than before.
DeFlame Your Brain Protocol Utilizing PBMT
This protocol incorporates a three-pronged approach to quiet the sympathetic nervous system down, which allows the fight or flight loop to break. This is priceless to patients and enables them to gain access to the other tools in your practice more freely and quickly. (If a person is stuck in fight or flight, they will have a hard time applying any techniques.) PBMT protocols can be added to any practitioner’s current treatments, vs instead of, creating a more integrated approach, and expediting treatment results.
VOM exists in between veterinary medicine and chiropractic care. It has similarities to some of the chiropractic modalities and functions by restoring function by reducing “subluxations” as is done in chiropractic care. It uses a hand-held device that is used in a popular human chiropractic technique called “Activator Methods” but it is not to be confused with that technique. The differences between VOM and Chiropractic care are significant and distinct. VOM exists in a gray area between both professions (Veterinary and Chiropractic) and benefits from the positive aspects of both, a hybrid, and thus more effective than either by themselves
A technology that goes to the root of the problem, a simple technology that relies on the animal’s innate ability to heal itself, one that re-establishes communication with the pet’s ability to heal itself, is easy, powerful and effective.
After an extensive interview process, Amy was one of the first of only 600 "non-Dr's" in the Country to obtain this training directly from it's creator, the late Dr. Bill Inman.
